On Monday, August 21, 2017, all of North America will be treated to an eclipse of the sun. Anyone within the path of totality can see one of nature’s most awe-inspiring sights – a total solar eclipse.

Join the WashU community for this once-in-a-lifetime event!

Guests who RSVP will receive eclipse eye protection glasses and special commemorative giveaway items while supplies last.

Although the moon will cover the sun for a short time, it will still be hot! To help with the heat, an ice cream sundae bar will be provided for all guests.

The university community will start gathering at Mudd Field on WashU’s Danforth Campus at 12 p.m.
