From London, Vienna, Berlin and Rome to Carnegie Hall, in New York, Towner has performed the world’s finest stages as the leading solo jazz exponent of the guitar.  His concerts and studio collaborations with Keith Jarrett, Jack DeJohnette, Elvin Jones and numerous other icons of modern improvised music are milestones in the history. His over forty recordings on the ECM label of Munich have placed him in the company of other towering figures such as Corea and Garbarek.
