The Department of African & African-American Studies presents Dr. Quentin Williams to discuss “Multilingualism in Pain: Fashioning Non-racial sleeves in post-Apartheid South Africa”.

Dr. Quentin Williams is one of the lead Spoken Word Scholars studying youth and linguistic defiance in the aftermath of Apartheid in South Africa. Dr. Quentin Williams will also be presenting in the afternoon: “Neva Again!: Hip Hop, Art and Language Activism in a Decolonializing South Africa”.
