Kaylie Allen, PhD, St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute

Dr. Kaylie Allen is a licensed clinical psychologist working in the Intensive Outpatient Program at the Center for OCD & Anxiety-Related Disorders (COARD). Dr. Allen has received specialized training in treating trauma, OCD, and anxiety disorders, both at SLBMI and while completing her doctoral degree at Central Michigan University. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Gulf Coast Veterans Healthcare System in Biloxi, MS, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in COARD. Dr. Allen has a research background in sexual assault, LGBTQ+ issues, exposure therapy, and mindfulness. She provides primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, incorporating elements of acceptance-based techniques and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She works with outpatient clients facing difficulties that include mood, anxiety, substance use, relationship conflicts, and other problems. She is especially passionate about working with LGBTQ+ clients and issues. Dr. Allen works with adults and adolescents.

As a queer woman, Dr. Allen is committed to providing education and training to the general community as well as healthcare professionals that will improve access to, and quality of, mental healthcare for LGBTQ+ individuals. She works with PrideCenter STL to provide a queer and trans community class about topics related to emotional well-being. Pronouns: she/her/hers
