In this virtual conversation, we will explore Hypothes.is, a tool enables users to place a conversational layer over an entire webpage or an OCR’d PDF, allowing for unique collaborative, interactive engagement with the text that students have been assigned to read. It enables sentence-level annotation, notetaking, and critique on top of written content and is fully integrated into Canvas. We’ll discuss some different pedagogical uses for this tool in your classes.
Registration for these conversations is open to anyone currently teaching or who is currently an assistant in instruction in a for-credit course at WashU. Prior registration is required, and participant limits are set at 20 to ensure that all will have the chance to discuss their ideas and concerns. Please contact Meg Gregory at email@example.com or Sally Wu at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
