This season, mezzo-soprano Tamara Mumford returns to the Metropolitan Opera for Die Zauberflöte, appears in concert with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic, and will be presented in recital by the Frick Collection in New York. She also appears in two special projects with the Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic: performances of Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde in a production by Yuval Sharon and the Chilean theater group Teatrocinema, and performances of Schumann’s Paradies un die Peri directed by Peter Sellars.
