Alan Gordon, partner and director of architecture at Snøhetta, will deliver the CannonDesign Lecture for Excellence in Architecture and Engineering, titled Constructed Ground.
Gordon has lived and practiced in New York City for more than 35 years. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania and his Master of Architecture degree at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, he worked for 26 years at I.M. Pei & Partners and subsequently Pei Cobb Freed & Partners in the final capacity of associate partner.
Gordon joined Snøhetta in 2010. As partner and director of architecture, he has utilized his extensive design, project management, and construction experience in guiding many major projects in the office, including the National September 11th Memorial Museum Pavilion, the recently completed San Francisco Museum of Modern Art expansion, and the Times Square reconstruction.
