The Harvey A. Friedman Center for Aging is hosting the 18th Annual Friedman Lecture & Awards. Our keynote speaker, Becca Levy, PhD, will discuss her research on psychosocial factors that influence older individuals’ cognitive and physical functioning, as well as their longevity. Levy is credited with creating a field of study that focuses on how positive and negative age stereotypes, which are assimilated from culture, can have beneficial and adverse effects on the health of older individuals.
