A.E. Hotchner Playwriting Festival 2020

  • Friday, October 16, 2020 • 7:00 pm

In this odd period in our lives, The A. E. Playwriting Hotchner Festival will be streamed live online for the first time in history – but we are having so much fun! Find us in our new digital playground where we will have four wonderful writers guiding their fascinating characters, as they rob banks, throw Gastbyesque parties, explode issues amongst friends, and brawl senselessly at their high school reunions. Come join the fun and help us develop these four brilliant young writers and their groundbreaking new works.

Cheryl Robs a Bank:
An Evening of Dramatic Entertainment Presented in Play Form by Cheryl Pryor
Friday, October 16th at 7pm
Written by Holly Gabelmann
Directed by Bill Whitaker
Dramaturg, Michele Volansky

A bank-teller named Cheryl micromanages a situation between a thief, a killer-on-the-run
and a sick pig named Olive. In this hilarious and dangerous telling, Cheryl finds herself
trapped in the small slippery space between reliving and reimagining, as her story
ricochets between what is happening now, what happened then, and what may never have
happened at all.
