A.E. Hotchner Playwriting Festival 2020

  • Saturday, October 17, 2020 • 7:00 pm

In this odd period in our lives, The A. E. Playwriting Hotchner Festival will be streamed live online for the first time in history – but we are having so much fun! Find us in our new digital playground where we will have four wonderful writers guiding their fascinating characters, as they rob banks, throw Gastbyesque parties, explode issues amongst friends, and brawl senselessly at their high school reunions. Come join the fun and help us develop these four brilliant young writers and their groundbreaking new works.

In a modern day re-contextualization of The Great Gatsby, Grand sharply unravels the American Dream through the journey of a young Black woman banker who dreams of being a painter, and an older iconic actress who hosts wild parties, does not attend them, and nostalgically dreams of a certain lily-white boy.

Produced by Carter W. Lewis
