  • Thursday, February 13, 2020 • 12:00 pm
  • Formal Lounge, Ann M. Olin Women’s Building, Washington University in St. Louis

Three-time Grammy winner Angélique Kidjo is a true global superstar who has recorded 13 albums and performed at top venues around the world. Born in Benin, Kidjo and her band will celebrate the electrifying rhythms, vocals and sounds of Africa, with music from throughout Kidjo’s storied career, including music from her two most recent projects: a celebration of the great Celia Cruz, and music from her re-imagining of the Talking Heads’ Remain in Light album.

The conversation will be led by Lauren Eldridge Stewart, Assistant Professor of Ethnomusicology.
